COLORFUL WAX SCROLLS

I love capturing the translucency of light in my paintings, but it's even easier when working with wax and paper. The most dramatic way I've found to show this off is with my wax scrolls.
Join me to create multiple panels of paper and wax that are thin enough for natural light to penetrate, filling your space with energy and movement.
In using paper we'll trade some durability for dynamism, but wait until you see the result! If you keep them indoors they will last for many years, but you can still decorate your garden with them on special occasions.
We'll add color with a variety of materials both before and after we wax, and we'll also add a simple hanger so your scroll is ready to hang when you get home.
You need to use a different wax recipe for paper than with rigid panels so I'll give you my favorite choices and explain why I would use one over the other for different situations.
All supplies will be provided. Most students leave class with 1-2 finished scrolls up to 3 feet long and several smaller pieces. These can all be rolled for easy transport!
Space is limited so classes fill quickly.
