THE ART OF SELF-CARE

Location: Vancouver, WA
All levels welcome/Basic supplies included

Do you actually use any of those beautiful sketchbooks you already own? 😉 Let’s fix that.

Studies have shown that making art can significantly reduce stress-related hormones in the body, and can be a way to express emotions and release feelings of tension. I’ll share how I do this with quick sketches.

Sketching can take many forms, so let’s find what’s right for you. Join me to learn my 90-second sketching technique which makes this accessible to anyone with even the most basic materials. This is a fun way to capture memories from a trip, relax at home, create with friends, and capture ideas while they are still fresh.

I often sketch when I’m on the go, where my style has to be more relaxed because I have limited time or resources. There are many cool materials available, so I’ll share some of my favorites in different media. I've tested these materials myself during trips to France, Ireland, Hawaii, and Portugal, so I’ve got fun stories to share as I use my own sketchbooks as examples.

All supplies for this workshop will be provided for you! Don't worry if you haven't tried anything like this before, we’re just going to play with some fun materials and see what happens.
