Career Opportunity Grant to Stay Longer in Ireland

If you’ve been keeping up with me at all lately, you know that I’m heading to Ireland soon to lead an art retreat at Essence of Mulranny.
But what I haven’t announced yet is that I’ve been awarded a $2,000 Career Opportunity grant by the Oregon Arts Commission to travel for an additional week to develop ideas, photos and sketches for a new collection of paintings! I am thrilled to have more time in Ireland to focus on my own work, and extremely honored that OAC has chosen me for this recognition.
Come celebrate with me at my final Irish Pub night event on April 22! These are informal gatherings where you’ll meet new friends, hear about some of my preparations for my trip, and we’ll all share our travel stories. I hope you’ll join us.
The Oregon Arts Commission provides leadership, funding and arts programs through its grants, services, and special initiatives. The Arts Commission is supported with general funds appropriated by the Oregon legislature and with federal funds from the National Endowment for the Arts as well as funds from the Oregon Cultural Trust.
